Today we’re extremely pleased to announce the general availability of SyncIQ - this is a tight integration between MailProtector’s™ cloud based anti spam and anti virus systems with VORARI’s Zimbra Servers (both shared and our dedicated server instances), and Microsoft Exchange® Most cloud based anti-spam and anti-virus providers require you to manually recreate your organisational hierarchy on their servers. Not only is this time consuming and a source of frustration for users - it is also potentially very expensive. Cloud-Based AS/AV systems do not have an easy way to know what email addresses flow through their systems are genuinely unique mail accounts, or distribution groups or aliases or even resources. As such you get charged for these.
With MailProtector and VORARI's system you only get charged for the actual accounts you have.
SyncIQ™ is a cloud based AD/LDAP Sync tool that automatically synchronises your accounts against a cloud based AS/AV service. The benefits for cloud based AS/AV have been known for some time - but the one difficulty has been grappling with the complexities of maintaining two different lists of addresses - those that exist on your server and those that exist with a cloud AS/AV provider. The new sync tool works with our shared platform, with on premise Zimbra Servers and is an available integration option for our onsite deployments.
